Cyana tettigonioides

Recorded Width: 5mm,  Height: 22mm  -  Nest, Maxwell's Hill, Malaysia

Cyana tettigonioides

Every new morning in the hills, and in particular at the nest, brings excitement to what the day ahead will bring. This one morning though, as I leapt out of bed to the sounds of fulvettas and gibbons, I noticed a black strip on the bed frame, my thigh and the bedsheet almost smothering it.

It just moved ever so slightly to the right to avoid the morning crush. How delightful to have the moth waiting by politely at bedside and not in your face in the dark night.

Spider Monkey in Costa Rica

Latest capture by Chin Hock in Costa Rican rainforest. I wonder why this monkey needs a prehensile tail when it can swing without one.

Saltwater Crocs of Singapore

Two 2m plus crocs came out to play today (22Feb'14). Easy to spot them from the main bridge of Sungei Buloh.
